The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for completing various tasks, usually clerical in nature, related to the inward movement of goods, supplies, contractors and raw material into our organization

• Assists departments with following purchasing procedures, following up on their orders to ensure that deliveries are timely
• Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key business partners and suppliers to assist supply chain operations globally
• Review purchase requirements with internal customer(s) to develop business need
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers while aware of culture, currency, geographic, and political environment
• Expedite goods and services as required
• Maintain required records such as quotes, price lists, blanket order file, supplier correspondence, contracts and supplier performance data
• Supporting resolution of warranty and service issues with suppliers
• Maintaining ongoing supplier performance data for periodic internal/external review and initiate corrective action/development as necessary

• Strong communication skills to successfully interact with employees, management and suppliers
• Strong comprehension skills
• Strong writing skills
• Strong computer skill (working in MS Office, Excel)
• Ability to present information to large groups effectively
• Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks at once
• Ability to complete goals in a timely, detailed manner
• Regular and timey attendance
  

Preferred

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Accounting or Business
• At least 2 years experience purchasing or similar role
