We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Shredder Operator to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys operating heavy machinery, and takes pride in being a key part of keeping operations running smoothly.

As a Shredder Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating the shredder machinery, which heats up and chops metals material into small pieces for various uses. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining consistent production flow, inspecting materials, and ensuring equipment is functioning properly. You’ll also work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals while following all safety and environmental guidelines.

Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety will be essential in delivering high-quality results and supporting daily operations.

• Communicate with supervisor for daily operation schedule.
• Perform preparations for start-up and shout-down in accordance with established procedures.
• Opens hatch of machine to accommodate materials dumped into machine.
• Closes and secures hatch and starts machine.
• Turns valves and observes thermometers to maintain temperature of product at plant standard, observe computer, push control buttons, and use joy sticks to operate.
• Stops machine after prescribed time for unloading.
• Work area housekeeping.

• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to frequently work with heights.
• Possess a clear understanding and adherence to safety regulations.
